 Not for the meek; targeted at those intrigued by analMay 30, 2010
This is a good book. I learned a few things, and so did my girlfriend, but it's targeted at someone who is already curious about, and interested in participating in, anal sex. If you are hesitant about anal, haven't tried it, or are appeasing a boyfriend by reading it, then it's probably not going to do much for you. The author starts out, right off the bat, expressing how much she loves anal. She always loved anal, since she can remember, and she never had a problem getting into it. If you're having a problem getting into it then this book might make you feel ashamed, or uncomfortable, about the fact that you are hesitant to give/receive anal.

Tristan Taormino has provided an excellent resource for those interested in exploring anal sex. This book provides not only a wealth of information about the dos and don'ts of anal play, but also takes time to explain the how's and why's. The information in this book is presented in a way that a new comer can learn all they need to know to feel safe and comfortable engaging in anal play, while the more experienced anal sex practitioner can pick up a few new tips. You will find information on everything from basic anatomy to the best lube for the job, and everything in between. The resource guide offers 11 pages of references to help you find additional information on anything you find in the book. If you are open to the idea of anal play, but haven't worked up the nerve to try it, this book will definitely help you make an informed, safe, and healthy decision. To quote Tristan, "Use this book with love, understanding, desire and trust; ideally, it will reward you with some hot, sexy anal play."

Although I'm not a woman, I read this book after my wife read it. The author takes a practical view of the subject and makes it approchable. The book provides a good amount of background and answers all of the what/when/where/why questions surrounding the subject. After reading the book, I had a great understanding of the author's methodology and had no unanswered questions in my mind. The length of the book and depth of information are appropriate, and make for a quick and helpful read. This is a very helpful book because among other things, let lets the reader know that this is a common activity that she might wish to try too.

This book is very thorough and well written. There were so many new things that have enhanced our relations. It is as unique to the topic and a vey good companion to the others on this topic.
